Missing/Hidden HomeKit automations?

[Doesn't seem to be a HomeKit forum, so hopefully this is the right place to post this as the iPhone is main interface to Apple Home.]

Tried adding an automation while adding some new devices. Seemed to go okay, but never finished and finally came up with an error.

Tried to set up automation a second time. Same error at end of setup.

HOWEVER, noticed a day later that BOTH automations were working. (both time set, but slightly different time each, so I know each is working).

So the automations look like they indeed get setup, but the final step??? of the automation process didn't finish, leaving me with two automations that were *somewhere* but were NOT visible to the user.

They aren't in Home>Automations.

They aren't in Shortcuts.

They aren't on any other iPad or iPhone.

I tried making different AppleTVs or HomePods the central HomeKit hub.

Nothing.

So, they automations are indeed SOMEWHERE, but no where visible to the user.

Is there a config file or something I can get into that might have them, when they otherwise aren't visible to the normal UI? (Hopefully, unencrypted.)

I just want to delete these two automations, but as I can't find them anywhere, I can't delete them.

Have tried making both a HomePod or an AppleTV the "Connected" hub. No difference.

But then again, would expect that as both would share the same config file (presumably via iCloud as a go-between?? Or would it inquire of peers on the LAN first?). So the "bad data" would presumably just get cloned to any new device.

Hence the question about the possibility of this config being written anywhere that could be modified directly. (No problem doing this kind of thing... I just haven't researched how Apple Home works behind the scenes. Yet.)

[Perhaps there is 3rd-party Home "helper" app or automations app that might allow for extensive automation editing? I don't know many of the apps, so I ask here incase someone has a great suggestion.]

And my bad in not mentioning I can indeed see OTHER automations, and they work without issue. In fact, can add the devices in question to existing automations just fine. It's just somehow those two automations got written, but not in a way that Home either can present back to the user and/or that it feels it needs to.

Thanks!

geoapple,

Without access to your system, there isn't a way for us to locate these 'missing' automations. They should be saved to the same files as your other automations that you say you can see. Unless they were given a different location when they were saved. Using the search function on your device could help in locating the files.

Regards.
