Apple TV 4k, Netflix CC and 3rd Party Remote

I'm using a 3rd party remote on my Apple TV 4K and want to turn off the Netflix closed captioning (for the millionth time).

With the supplied remote, you would swipe from top to bottom, bringing up the controls.

But I’m using a 3rd party remote and I can’t figure out how to access those controls. I’m thinking there must be another way in?

Any ideas on how to turn off the cursed CC’s from ****?
