Disabling VLU (Visual Look Up) in Monterey

I recently purchased a new Mac Studio with Monterey. I found it a complete distraction to work in Photos while having the "info" pane open, as VLU places a little icon right in the photo I'm working on. After struggling to find a way to disable this feature I finally found a solution that worked.

It resides in Spotlight Search.

Go to System Preferences - Spotlight - Search Results tab. Scroll down to "Siri Suggestions" and uncheck.

The next time you open Photos and utilize the info pane, the little icon will be gone.

I hope this helps others.

You have a help menu in Photos—take advantage of the resource as presented...

this should not be a mystery:
