How do I get pages to learn a words spelling?

When Pages flags an unknown word or spelling, right-click on that word and either choose one of the spelling suggestions, or select Learn Spelling from that secondary menu. Pages will then add that word to the /Users/username/Library/Spelling/localDictionary for future reference.
