Unable to activate update required

I’m trying to turn this phone on for my daughter it’s my old one. Can’t figure it out.


the phone says “unable to activate” An update is required to activate your iPhone. Learn more at apple.com/support.

If you want to do it correct, read -> this Apple article: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then you have to remove the iPhone from your account, see this Apple article:

Check your Apple ID device list to see where you're signed in

Check your Apple ID device list to see where you're signed in - Apple Support

 

Then your daughter can sign in with her own Apple ID.
