Guided Access Not Working

Hello,

my Guided Access is not working. It is turned on in the settings. It’s telling me to hit the home button 3 times and when I go to do so nothing happens. My iPad is updated to the latest software. And I have restarted my iPad, it’s still not working. My home button works for everything else. Just not this. I use Guided Access on both my iPhone and husbands phone and an older iPad. So I know how to use it. But I can not get it to work for our new iPad Pro 10.5.

That is a strange thing to occur, especially since you know how to activate/use it on your two other devices. Great job also trying a restart of your iPad!


You mentioned that you recently updated your iPad, but the latest version is iPadOS 15.5. Is this the exact version number showing within Settings > General > About? You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
