Text notifications from Android

I have an iPhone 13 with all the latest updates. I’ve reset it, checked all message settings, etc. I get alerts/vibrations when texts come from another iPhone, but I only get them from an Android if my screen is already unlocked. Any suggestions?

Hello LouisianaCharm,

To help resolve this issue, turn notifications off for Messages, restart the iPhone and turn them back on:

Change notification settings on iPhone

Manage notifications for messages

Go to Settings > Notifications > Messages.
Choose options, including the following:

Turn Allow Notifications on or off.
Set the position and locations of message notifications.
Choose the alert sound for message notifications.
Choose when message previews should appear.

Restart your iPhone

Also, check your Focus settings to make sure you don't have any settings in place that could be causing this issue: Set up Focus on iPhone - Apple Support
