I have connected the IMAC 2021 vie the Apple Thunderbolt adapter to RJ45 and a short RJ45 cable to my router. The router gives the mess that IMAC is connected to the router. but the IMAC gives the mess that there is no cable connected or the other side dont answer.
What problem are you having and what troubleshooting have you attempted. Telling it will not connect tells us extremely little information, please try to be more specific by providing error messages, the steps you have taken to fix the issue etc.
Happy to hear, you’re welcome!
The iMac 2021 isn’t compatible with the Apple Thunderbolt dongle Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple.
Not for your iMac
Restart your modem and router and use A single Ethernet cable from the computer to the router. I don’t understand why you are using adapters to make a simple Ethernet connection.
The IMAC 21 has no Ethernet Interface. My model has only two Thunderbolt interfaces. so i need some adapter.
Yup, but not the Apple one. All the best!
May be the Belkin adaptor
Worth a shot.
Why the apple adaptor isn,t compatibel? hard to understand because it is recommendet by apple
