Moving from Downloads to Photos, etc.

How do I move multiple items from Downloads to Photos on my iMac? Or can I move photos directly from my iPhone to Photos instead of Air Dropping to Downloads?

iMac, OS X 10.11

Hi

Airdropping is the least useful way to transfer images.

You can either use iCloud to sync your libraries between phone and mac - but then you need to pay for a plan big enough for your whole library, or you can connect your phone with USB, and sync from within the photos app directly from the phone.

Open the Downloads folder. Select the images as a batch. Do Edit/Copy, and then open your Photos library and Edit/Paste them in as a batch.

Actually, I use Air Drop almost exclusively to transfer photos. -- usually less than 20 at a time. I am sure it would work for more. Happens in an instant. No size limitation. All data transfers (as far as I know). For a really massive transfer or to transfer your whole library, the Cloud would be more useful.
