Need to reset permissions to delete old backups
I migrated to an external boot drive. Now I want to clean up old backups and tidy up in general, but I am having difficulty getting permissions reset for old backup folders.

What kind of Backups are these...Time Machine backups(?)
Are you sharing TM and your other use (External boot drive) on the same ext drive you are asking about?

Are you sharing TM and your other use (External boot drive) on the same ext drive you are asking about?
No, two different physical drives, but it was too complicated and I have a CCC backup so I just erased the partition. Thanks.
