Calendar on my Apple Watch

It seems EXTREMELY limited, as in I can't see anything beyond a one week period. Am I missing something or this really how shortsighted Apple is?

The feedback site is pretty explicit about the fact that you won't get an individual answer. And, just because you suggested something doesn't mean that Apple will decide the change is something they want to do or, if they do, can or will do immediately.

Meanwhile, you may want to look at other calendar apps. One that I have on my watch that shows you much more is Fantastical. As it uses the same calendar database that the built-in calendar uses, you can use them both without having to enter data more than once. I'm sure there are also other apps.

Thanks for the responses, but I'll just wait for WatchOS 9 this fall. I never expect a response from Apple, believe me. Been an Apple user since 1984. It seems silly that in WatchOS 9, we will get things like new faces, activity updates, etc., but something simple like scrolling past one week of calendar is constantly overlooked. The only thing Apple has said about WatchOS 9 updating Calendar is that you can set appointments via your watch. Um...I do that on a daily basis. I don't see where this is an "improvement." It's frustrating that I have to go and seek a third party app to fix a glaring issue that Apple refuses to address.

Except that's the way Apple has always worked. They provide basic apps but, if you want more feature-rich software, you've always needed to get third-party software. And it makes perfect sense. Apple doesn't need to spend their development resources on software that doesn't earn them money and, they get a cut of anything sold through their storefronts.

Personally, I'd rather get a tool that meets my needs from any legitimate source rather than sit around being frustrated that one particular source won't provide it for me. But that's just me.

I disagree. Apple USED to have solid software. We, as consumers, have allowed them to supply us with poorly written software,. Again, I refer you to the fact that I've been a Apple user since 1984. This is just shoddy workmanship. It USED to be better, even top notch. So, defend Apple all you want, it's still not right.

An app not having all the features you want is not "shoddy workmanship". It's a difference of opinion. Have you submitted feedback to Apple?

The fact that you've used Apple products since 1984 doesn't make you especially unusual here in these forums. I've been using Apple computers since about 1982 but, so what?

As a programmer, I feel I'm qualified to call ANY app that doesn't do that basic thing it's supposed to as shoddy workmanship. Especially if someone else does it properly for a team of programmers at Apple. The entire purpose of the WatchOS Calendar app is (wait for it)...to show me my calendar. Call me a weirdo, but I use my calendar for thing further out than 7 days. You're just arguing to argue, dude.

And if you'd read my earlier reponses to this thread, you'd already have the answer to your question. I'm through with this conversation.

Where did Apple say that the calendar was supposed to show you more than what it does? I agree, if they promised it would do something and it didn't, you'd have a point. However, that's not the case. Apple designed the app in a way that you don't like. T. hat's a legitimate preference on both your parts.
