MacBook turns off whenever the charger is removed and won't turn on unless the charger is in. I've been using this MacBook for about 4 years now and it's only been acting like this today. I've reset the SMC multiple times an it's still the same. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

Macbook air 2015 shows charging but is not, SMC reset did not work Battery indicator says "charging", no increase in charge, checked power outlet, reset SMC.
