If need be quit the installer.

If you have the full installer in your Applications folder ~12 GB try booting into Safeboot mode log in and launch your installer again from applications folder. "Install macOS Monterey.app"

SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

If you do not have the installer, using the command line, this will bypass the secure token/owner check from the Software Update pref pane, from the Terminal.app copy and paste:

sudo softwareupdate -i -a -R

a break down of the flag definitions:

-i Install

-a All appropriate updates

-R Automatically restart (or shut down) if required to complete installation)
