Airpod Pros are the least reliable product I have ever owned from Apple. Left Airpod Pro consistently does not charge. I have done everything suggested on all of these forums and it still doesn't work. Super disappointing and surprisingly low quality.

Clean your AirPod Case:
When’s the last time you cleaned these? Go here: How to Clean your AirPods and EarPods - Apple Support. There may debris getting in the way here. So, use a microfiber-cloth to clean the outside of them. Also, using a wooden toothpick, lightly slip it inside the case, seeing if you can slowly remove gunk (i.e. earwax). It may take a few tries. Tap the debris softly, and then extract the wooden toothpick, continuing until all is gotten out.

Give Apple Some Feedback:
Having recently updated your iPhone, then it may be a bug in the update. So, report this to Apple. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what fixes to include in updates to come.
