Rented Movie

I have rented a movie with a 48 hour preview and watching on my MacBook, paused and closed the window with 30mins of the film left to go.

Have gone to resume the movie to watch the remaining and apparently my Mac isn't suitable to be played on, having already watched over an hour of the film on it. I don't own an appleTV device - and I can't update my Mac as there is no available storage to do so. Would like to watch the remaining before the rental expires...

Thanks

If you watched the first hour on that Mac, then you can also view the remainder there (when within the rental period). Stopping and resuming is supported on all Macs.

If you resume on a different Mac, then that must have the same Apple ID account, and be signed in to the viewing app (menu Account).

What is your model Mac (iMac/Mac Studio/Mac Pro/MacBook/MacBook Air/MacBook Pro) and its year?

What is its version macOS?

Older Macs with macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier may view rented movies in the iTunes application.

Macs with macOS Catalina 10.15 or later may view rented movies in the TV app.
