I did this and accidentally must have made an error as it says my installation failed and I am unable to find an option to try again. Please help me install again. Thanks!

Hi again. I managed to get it working now. I will tell you what I did.

I ran Disk First aid in Disk Utility. Then I restarted, then I tried to launch Zoom again, and it asked me if I wanted to install Rosetta. I clicked to install and enter my fingerprint, then it ran all these install scripts, and now it works.

Thanks so much for your super great and prompts responses!

Hi!

Thanks for the reply. I thought since I replied to the topic of Rosetta it was included in my question. Sorry about that. This is what it showed on my side: Related Article

If you need to install Rosetta on your Mac

I am trying to open WhatsApp desktop application for Mac, on my new MacBook Pro. It said I need to install Rosetta to use WhatsApp, and it failed. I am unable to find Rosetta anywhere in system, in App Store, in anything. No idea how to prompt is again. I even deleted WhatsApp and tried again but it doesn’t not attempt it again it just automatically says it failed.

Thanks!

Thanks again. I just tried to join a zoom call, it tried to open my Zoom app and same problem. I am not trying to "install" anything, just open my apps that I use daily.

I searched for Rosetta in my computer and I am not able to find anything. I am unclear what your screenshot is.

Let me know if you can advise what I can do next.

Thank you!

Okay, thanks for that!

Try using Terminal:

First open System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy.

On the left column, choose “Full Disk Access”.

Unlock by clicking the padlock on the bottom left.

Click the “+” on the bottom, navigate to Applications > Utilities > Terminal and select or double click.

Next, open Finder, on the top menu select Go > Utilities.

Open Terminal.

Paste this command then press Return on the keyboard:

sudo softwareupdate --install-rosetta

If you are asked for your Mac admin password, type and press Return. (Note that the letters are invisible so you won’t see them being typed).

Next, if no errors, and it ends in #bash3.2 or something to that effect, just restart your Mac and try again, hope that helps!
