Backing up my phone

I Purchased a new iPhone 13 yesterday. Trying to back up my 8+ iPhone and it is connected to the Wi-Fi plugged into the outlet and the screen is locked. Yesterday it sat for hours the line moves about halfway across and still says two hours to completion. Today it has been plugged in for six hours and has done the same thing line has moved halfway across and says two hours to completion.I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong. Need help what should I do?

It sounds like you have everything properly configured to perform an "automatic" backup to iCloud with your iPhone 8. Have you tried the "manual" method instead yet?


If not, refer to the following support article on the steps to do so:


Alternately, you can try backing up this phone to a computer instead.
