Moving contact out of junk

Every time one of my V.I.P contacts tries to email me, their email is instantly moved to junk. I have tried marking it as important and moving it back to the inbox so the preference settings reset but that has done nothing and all their emails continue to go to junk. I have tried resetting the app itself by deactivating it on settings. Please bare in mind when responding, this is the latest mailing app and that there are not a lot of features so there’s no point in comparing it to a mac mailing app. Please help it has really been stressful. Any other advice would be useful?

Without knowing what account you are using it is not possible to give detailed advice but most accounts like Google or Outlook.com allow you to create rules if you sign onto the account on a web browser on your Mac.

For example I completely bypass all junk filtering in Outlook.com by adding a rule that said for all received emails move then to my inbox.

If you routinely get a lot of junk you ay prefer to set up a safelist according to your account's methodology.
