Grayed-Out Songs (round 2)

If/when I have my phone synced to iTunes (with a USB/lightning cable on my Dell notebook computer), why am I seeing grayed-out songs? This only happens when viewing the listing of songs the iPhone [itself] & not (specifically) in iTunes on the computer.

Here is a screenshot of what I am seeing:

Note the 1st song, “All The Small Things”. There are several like this in other playlists.

This has happened before but I don’t know/remember how I fixed it but I don’t appreciate that it keeps happening.
