Lost phone need texts on iPad
I lost my phone and need to receive text messages on my iPad.

You need an iPhone in order to receive text messages on iPad. You can however, text with other iOS based users on an iPad, without an iPhone. If you want to be able to send to and receive messages from anyone other than iOS users, you'll have to replace your iPhone.
