How do I transfer MS Office files (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) from Windows laptop to iPad Pro? Will the iWorks work with those files?

Probably the simplest way to do it is to use iCloud Drive or MS OneDrive to sync the files to both devices. Pages, Numbers, and Keynote should open the documents just fine, but some formatting may be lost, depending on how complex they are.
