airpods pro noise canceling or transparency mode sounds like it’s not even on.

so i just need help with a workaround to fix my airpods pro that i bought a year ago, the ANC or transparency mode isn’t working. When i turn them on and hear the chimes it just sounds like the headphones have a button that makes chimes noises without them having a action to them. I’ve cleaned them dozens of times, i shouldn’t have to use conversation boost because it doesn’t work as well. i don’t know what else to do besides crack them open and clean the insides because i paid less at best buy then for what they want me to pay to replace them. any help?
