Random Sounds Chime All At Once When Opening Laptop

Hi

I have a 2017 Air, and for the past year or so, every once in a while, when I open the cover, random sounds chime all at once, and the sounds have nothing to do with new notifications since I closed my laptop. For example, the other day, both Mail and Outlook chimed at the same time, and while I did have new Mail emails, not a thing was in my Outlook. Just a few minutes ago when I opened it, I had about 4 chimes go off at the same time, overlapping each other so I couldn't decern all of them, but one of them was the camera shutter chime. I wasn't taking a picture, didn't have Photo Booth open, and didn't take a screenshot recently (I opened my laptop several times since the last time). To top it all off, there's no photo in Documents! Does anyone know why it does this? I know my computer's old, it's starting to act a bit funky, freezy, and I need to buy a new battery, but once it gets going, most of the time it's fine. Not sure if this is a side effect of old age, or something is wrong, but would love to get some input to know if I need to do anything!

Thanks!

Hi 123pleasehelpme456,

Does this persist after restarting the computer? Is your macOS up-to-date? You can learn how to update it here: Update macOS on Mac

Does the behavior continue with another user account on the Mac? If you don't have one you can learn how to create one here: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Take care.

This has been happening for months, so yes, it happens after restarting. I am still on Mojave because I have figured out that there is one displaced byte on my computer that causes an error in the update process. I have tried everything to fix it, save from starting from scratch, something I don't want to do. I don't have another user account, and honestly, this problem is so inconsistent, I'd have to use another user account for possibly weeks before it happens again, something I can't do, since all my information and such is on this account. If it was more consistent, I'd try it, but I don't have the time to sit for days on end to see if it happens. If you have any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks

Nope. Keyboard is flat when I look at it from the side, and nope, it's cool becasue it's been in sleep mode, sometimes for minutes, sometimes for hours. Besides, this can happen if I close my computer, leave it where it is and don't touch it, then come back and open it. Your idea makes total sense, but logistically speaking, it doesn't seem to add up. Thanks, though!
