two factor

I have been locked out of my Facebook and it is trying to send me a code to my cell phone to log back in. But I don't receive the code. I think it has something to do with the two factor authentication and I cant turn it off. Help

Two-Factor Authentication Can you please temporarily turn off Two-Factor Authentication for my account? I am unable to log into my Facebook account because it now requires I generate a verification code from my phone since my Facebook password has been changed. The problem is my phone number isn't recognized on my facebook account so a code never gets sent to my phone. If I'm able to log into Facebook without Two-Factor Authentication activated I can then add my phone number to the Facebook account and won't have this issue. I've tried several times reaching out to Facebook directly but all of the solutions require me to generate a verification code before I can log in.

It is FB 2 factor, not Apple 2 factor. Do you see an option that says “didn’t get code” or words to that effect? If you do click on it.
