Getting error code (0x80092010) when trying to restore. Can't find it mentioned anywhere

I have an xs. Turned off phone and tried turning it back on. Blinking apple logo. I've tried everything to reset / restore. I keep getting code (0x80092010). I can't find anywhere online that mentions this code. Any help would be appreciated

That is normally a communication error when connecting to a computer. Try a different cable and a different port. If you are using a desktop computer only use the rear ports. If you are using a hub make sure it is a powered one.

I Just now came back from apple Genius Bar ("where both the staff had "ZERO Empathy" and "Zero Efforts for support ") Shana and the store manager on duty "Ellen" at the Richmond Center, Richmond BC ("where both the staff had "ZERO Empathy" and "Zero Efforts for support ") stated this is a WhatsApp issue and nothing to do with Apple iOS. even though I am using only 260GB of of my 512 GB space on my phone and there is over 300 GB space on my iCloud out of 2TB, according to both of them I have too much stored on my device and I should delete items from my iCloud where I subscribe to 2 TB and pay monthly fees for the family use and from my iPhone with 512GB I should delete items that take too much space "And When I mentioned this is happening on apple devices and not on Samsung or non apple devices, her response was to switch to other platform. Neither one wanted to comment on why so many people have had issues around June 10 2022. onwards with the same errors and issues.

Hopefully apple support and apple engineers work on this issue soon and apple management, for Genius bar and retail stores give more training to their staff and improve the support.

Would you prefer they make something up other than admit they don’t know? I did note that the last WhatsApp update was around that time. I’m sure that’s coincidence, however, it couldn’t possibly be related to any issues.

And what is “so many people”? There are over 2 billion iPhones in use. “So many” would be tens of thousands at least. As far as I can see from this thread it seems to be about 20.
