Automatic external screen switch position

Hi,

I recently bought the new Mac Studio and 2 external screens that are not made by Apple.

I have an issue since day 1. Let's call my right screen "screen 1" and my left screen "screen 2".

On settings, screen 1 is on the right, and screen 2 is on the left.

I leave my computer, it goes on power off mode (don't know the word in English for "veille"). When I come back and put it back on, the screens switched position... Now screen 1 is on the left and screen 2 is on the right.

So I manually invert the position and change the default screen but it's quite annoying.

Is there anything I can do?

What happens if I connect 3 external screens?

Mac Studio, macOS 12.4

When we have seen this issue before, it was caused by displays that did not supply their serial numbers in the correct field in the EDID information ("Plug & Play").

Because of this display shortcoming, the Mac can not tell the two devices apart.

Two displays of different models or from different makers generally do not have these sorts of problems.

You can use a third-party utility like the one built into SwitchResX to examine the EDID data and see the extent of the issue, or just contact Huawei and report the problem to them.
