Deleted emails are returning

Deleted emails are returning. It's like watching "Groundhog Day" every time LOL!

I'm running a 2021 MacBook Air M1, latest OS is 12.4. It's started a couple weeks ago. Searching this forum, I learned about the "Safe Mode" tip. First, it took a few attempts to make this machine enter SafeMode for, whatever, reasons. Eventually, I did get there. Ok, so going through the motions the deleted emails did stop loading, however, only for a couple days, UGH!

My gut tells me this is a "bug" and "Tim Apple" (LOL) has to intervene and get this solved.

Rebuild the affected Mailbox, or all Mailboxes, according to Rebuild mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support. You can rebuild any Mailbox including Trash.

Not so fast! The emails I delete during any given session do return. They will not return after I perform the reboot to Safe Mode, then perform a "Rebuild". The whole process repeats after each Safe mode and Rebuild routine. It's getting to be exhaustive.

This a bug of some type as it's only started recently after one or two of the last Apple updates.
