Keyboard Setup Assistant not functionning

Hello community,

I am trying to change the keyboard type with Keyboard Setup Assistant but it seems to be not working.

I am using a Logitech MX Keys bluetooth keyboard. It is a JIS keyboard, so it is QWERTY but with some characters like @ and [ in different places.

I was using this keyboard without issue for a long time, but today my MacBook has suddenly started recognizing it as a US QWERTY keyboard.

I tried using Keyboard Setup Assistant (System preferences > Keyboard > Change Keyboard Type). It indeed recognize my current Logitech keyboard as JIS, but when I click done, it still is in US QWERTY configuration mode.

I tried restarting my MacBook, deleting com.apple.keyboardtype.plist without success...

It seems not to be the Logitech keyboard's issue, since it has no issue with my other Windows laptop.

The MacBook's keyboard is also in JIS configuration and works perfectly. It's just the bluetooth keyboard having a problem.

Any suggestion would be very helpful!

Many thanks.
