How do I prevent my watch alarm from going off?

I use my iphone as my alarm. Quite often I leave my watch home when I travel and when I do my watch goes off at 6am. If I'm home and have my watch on the charger or laying around it doesn't go off (which is fine). The problem is that my wife gets upset because she has to get up and turn it off. I don't know why my watch goes off for my morning alarm. How do I prevent this from happening? TIA

To get your Apple Watch to stop playing alarms while you're not home but it is, we can recommend the following options:

Turn your Apple Watch off before you leave: Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support
Turn your alarms off before you leave: Add an alarm on Apple Watch - Apple Support
Do not sync your iPhone alarms with your Apple Watch. You can do this by opening the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tapping My Watch, tapping Clock, then turning off Push Alerts from iPhone
