I've recently installed OS Catalina, and find that Secure Notes stay open for a very short time … much shorter than OS High Sierra. Is there a way of resetting the time a Secure Note stays open before automatically closing?

If you save your Secure Notes in the 'login' keychain, then you can define the timeout. Start Keychain Access, right-click the login keychain and choose 'Change Settings for keychain "login"…'.

Thank you Q_L. Because of your suggestion, I right-clicked on the first Keychain – which has my user profile name (which is also the administrator). This produced a pop-up/drop-down menu which also included a Change Settings option. It's a pity these options are not presented in Keychain Preferences.
