Mac showing wrong date and time

My Mac is showing the wrong date & time even though I have chosen the right region, and selected "set date and time automatically". The time zone is also in the right region. I have not switched on my macbook in a while so I'm thinking this is why it is not showing the right time. Please help me solve this problem!

You neglect to mention the if the time is correct in association... you said date & time(?)

*run the command line

if necessary un-check "automatic" if that is an issue and test.
