Overriding Do Not Disturb with WhatsApp

I know you can set specific users to override DND with phone calls. Is it possible to set other applications like WhatsApp to override DND for specific users? This is really critical for me as here WhatsApp is the universally accepted basic form of communications for voice and text.

Hey Tom,


Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. With iOS 15 and later, you can set up Focus which should be helpful for what you are trying to do. You can enable Focus to silence notifications but then add apps to the allowed notifications from Settings > Focus > Do Not Disturb. Check out Use Focus on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.
