Backlit keyboard on iPad not working

I am using an m1 iPad Pro with Logitech combo touch keyboard case, all fine until after a software update almost a year ago and the backlight on the keyboard shut off and when you press the increase backlight button, it shows as going up on the iPad but it isn’t on the keyboard and iPad backlight percent goes back to zero, The backlight only works at a certain angle. It sometimes happens until this year after an update, it’s persistent. Anyone have the same problem with any iPad keyboard with backlight

If you'd like your keyboard backlight to turn on, this information might help.

Make sure that the firmware of your keyboard is up-to-date. You should consult the manufacturer of your keyboard for how to do that. Here's a link to Logitech Support.

As Alex said, this is an issue for Logitech to address. Your iPad thinks everything is fine, but your keyboard is not responding to commands you send it. While Apple might very well have changed something in its latest release, it is up to the peripheral manufacturers to keep up with those changes.

This is a software issue and it just won’t turn on, iPadOS shows it is at 10% (even though the backlight is not even on)
