"Edit" button on Payments & Shipping screen greyed out. Can't edit Payment & Shipping on iPhone
So, no one has answered this from what I can tell. Let's all just avoid posting to Apple's generic articles for a moment and believe me when I say, this simply isn't working like it's supposed to and I've tried all the normal things. This question has been asked before with hundreds of people needing the right answer.
ISSUE
- Greyed out edit button on the Payments & Shipping screen.
WHAT I'VE TRIED
- Restarting the iPhone
- Updating OS to most recent version (for iOS, app store, itunes, etc)
- Updating payment method for Apple Pay & Wallet (which I was able to do no problem).
- Additionally, set these new payment methods as the default and to be used with double-side-click.
- I have the new payment method set up in Wallet and Apple Pay, but this payment method does not appear under Apple ID > Payment & Shipping. Only my old, expired payment method appears here.
- Opened the iTunes App itself on a desktop and searched high and low for any way to update payment methods here, but this doesn't seem to be possible on the iTunes desktop app.
- Gone into iCloud looking for a way to update payments & shipping - no go.
- Looked into Family Sharing options (I'm the Parent/Guardian and this plan is using my ID for purchases.)
So... does anyone have any truly useful ideas on how I can do this? I want to make a purchase in the App store, but my old payment method expired a month ago.
