CarPlay isn’t disconnecting

My iPhone 13 is connected to CarPlay while I am driving, however when I get home and turn my car off and exit my phone won’t go back to my home Wi-Fi. If I click on my wifi button to connect it ask me if I want to disconnect from CarPlay. I choose disconnect, but it instantly disregards that and wont let me connect to wifi.


Is there not a way to use Wi-Fi at home and CarPlay while in the car?

Got it. To help with your iPhone thinking it's still connected to CarPlay, forget your car and set it up again to see if fresh connections help. Also be sure your iPhone software is fully updated as that helps to resolve odd issues too. If an update is needed, back up first. Both steps can be found here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


To forget your car tap Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car, then tap Forget This Car, then set it up again using these steps: Use CarPlay with your iPhone - Apple Support


It's also a good idea to be sure your car firmware is updated. Check your car manual or reach out to the car manufacturer for those steps. Let us know how it goes.
