Merging family plan

my husband, he send an invitation to me to join family sharing. However, it won’t let me since I have the kids in my account. Can we merge together?? If so how? Thanks.

Sounds like you’ve got it.

Restated … any one individual (AppleID) may be a member of ONLY one family.

AND … any family may only have ONE “Organizer.”

Note that moving kids between families is a multi-step process requiring CAREFUL adherence the steps outlined here:

Move a child to another group using Family Sharing – Apple Support (AU)

As I understand it, there is exactly one head of a family. Either you continue to manage the kids or hand it over completely to your husband. It might be easier to keep the family to yourself but set up a junk iPhone with your Apple ID that your husband can grab when he needs to do some parenting and your iPhone isn't available to him.

ah, thank you. Does that change all the setting I set for the kids??

i would like to merge account so my husband can help set control on Screen times. However I don’t want to loose all the account settings. Not sure which one is easier.

my husband and I each have our Apple ID and accounting since IPhone 3. So we never thought about family plan until kids are started using more their device and we would like to share the screen time control.

Thank you. That’s might be an easier option.
