Move photos and videos from “from my mac” folder to recents

Hello, i just copied photos from my pc to iphone but all of them were stored in a folder called “from my mac” and is there a way to move them to recents with the rest of my photos?


i tried dublicating them but It says error most of the time

I suspect not. Don't forget, Recent is actually a tag, rather than a "folder": that is, they are recently taken.


The Recents folder on the phone is presumably photos taken by the phone. Those (together with all photos taken by the phone) are kept separate from the pictures that you add to the phone from your computer. They are also, recent, so once they are no longer recent, they will be removed from that folder.


However, what you can do is use Windows Explorer to move the photos on your phone from the DCIM folder (which is the "folder" that photos in), to the same folder as your Mac pictures. Once you do that and Sync the phone, all the pictures will be in the same folder.


Note a significant distinction (for us humans) between photos and pictures:

    • a photo has been taken by the phone's camera - a photograph
    • a picture, from your computer, may be a photograph, a hand or computer drawing, or a composite of both, all of which may be in the same format
