Photos on Mac - Find user-defined custom faces from old iPhoto library
HI,
I have a photo library that is almost 14 years old and has gone through multiple OS upgrades. In the old days of iPhoto, you used to be able to add a "custom face", resize and position the circle over a person, and give it a name. It was a way of tagging people in photos that would then show up in the Faces section. I believe this feature no longer is available in the new version of Apple Photos anymore.
But, my library, which has almost 250,000 photos had thousands of these custom faces and through the upgrades, they have all become messed up and incorrect. Many of these custom faces no longer and have a name associated with them and instead have "click to rename" in the text section. Rebuilding and/or repairing the library does not help as these custom faces still exist and are messed up.
I would like to delete all of these, but it is not realistic to go photo by photo and click on the delete icon .Is there a way to:
1) Either find all of these custom faces and remove them?
2) Mass delete them through some mechanism.
I realize this is a long shot, but I thought it was worth a try asking the community.
Thank you,
Brent
