When you pay for apple one it is an entirely different subscription than the Apple TV even if apple one includes Apple TV. What you need to do is cancel the singular Apple TV subscription and keep the apple one subscription. When you buy apple one it will not combine other subscriptions you may already have.

For example: I had this problem where I had a single Disney plus account but then I got the Disney bundle so I was then paying for a single Disney plus account and a Disney bundle account. I then had to cancel the subscription on the singular account because it’s a waste of money to have 2 different Disney plus accounts.

Hope this helps!

How long ago did you subscribe to AppleOne?

It indeed should “combine” automatically - AND issue a credit for any “pre-paid leftover” from your legacy AppleTV subscription, but it’s NOT instantaneous. (billing cycles rarely are)

If it’s been more than a two or three weeks since subscribing you probably should contact Apple Support to resolve.

From the article below.

If you already subscribe to Apple Music, Apple News+, Apple Arcade, or Apple TV+, you don't need to cancel those subscriptions. They will automatically be canceled when you're billed for Apple One.

Apple One includes a free 1-month trial for services that you don’t already have. After your free trial, services that you previously subscribed to are automatically included in Apple One. If you recently canceled a service, you might not be eligible for the free trial. Your plan automatically renews after the trial.

Re: “… What you need to do is cancel the singular Apple TV subscription and keep the apple one subscription …”

Not sure that this is accurate.

Although it indeed might have changed in the past few months, Apple previously stated during the AppleOne signup process SPECIFICALLY to NOT cancel ANY existing subscriptions, but to allow the automatic changeover - and subsequent crediting - to take place.

how do you cancel Apple TV and how are you to know it is the original one and not the one with Apple One? My Music has to be intergrate seamlessly or else this is not going to work. You have to have an Apple Geru that joins all these apps to make them work, you cannot treat this as if everyone joining Apple One are 1st time users with no past libraries
