It is possible to choose to use 4 digit code, or the more secure 6 digit code. You need to actively change the code and length inside the Settings on your iPhone. It cannot be changed by itself.


Each note that there is a difference between PIN code and iPhone Passcode. The PIN code is usually 4 digits, and activates the SIM card, and the Passcode is the lock for your iPhone.


Unfortunately, if you have forgotten your code, there is only one way as it cannot be recovered.
