my mac air closedown when being inactive why???

my mac book air repeatedly turn off when left inactive why?? anything I can do??? please advise

Check in your system preferences to see if you have a scheduled shutdown after so many hours or some other parameter.

I'm on my iMac right now, for it: System Preferences > Power Saver > Schedule

For your MBA check System Preferences > Battery and look for a "schedule" button.

thanks much appreciated but all setting are fine . I did try last night to Press and hold the right Shift key, the left option key, and left control key for 7 seconds. While doing this, press and hold the power button for 7 more seconds. i see now if it happen again?? thanks again francois
