Security lockout

I had my phone in my back pocket for several hours outside yesterday. Upon pulling it out, I saw I had been butt dialing my password incorrectly for several hours. I decided to put it in my car, and at the time of leaving it it had about an hour left of my lockout before being able to attempt again. It was a hot day so my phone also overheated in my car for probably several hours while I was away. When I came back, it said security lockout with no timer. Turned it off and back on, now it says iPhone unavailable. I’ve been searching the web everywhere for the (null) option to try my password one more time before erasing, as it says when you click erase my iPhone but I’ve yet to find anything, and now I can’t even erase the content completely and start over because it won’t let my press the erase iPhone button, even though every other part of the screen works. Please help I know my password I just want to use my phone again.
