Family share for Parent/Guardian, why a is purchase code need.

I have never heard of anybody needing a "code" for any purchase. Maybe this is something specific to that game/app? Even if you had somehow managed to set him a a child under Ask To Buy, I still don't think a "code" is involved.

What is the exact text of error message? When my bank card was updated recently I needed to share the new CVV code with my children to confirm that I really have given them permission to make purchases through Family Sharing on my payment method. This is a one time confirmation per family member.
