M1 MacBook Air charging

How do you know when a MacBook Air (with USB C charger) is fully charged if it is not powered up while charging? There doesn’t seem to be any sort of light or indicator that I can see

There is no external indicator on any recent MacBook Air or Pro models that use a USB-C power connection.

Also note that you cannot overcharge them; it doesn't hurt to leave them connected after fully charged.
