Streaming from i mac to lg tv asks for a lg password-that i do no have

I want to mirror my i mac display to my lg 50 screen but the lg asks for a code that i do not have-any suggestions please

Lost Airplay password OSX 10.14 I have an LG smart TV. It shows in the OSX Airplay drop down list. If I select it, it asks for a password. I thought I'd got Airplay sharing direct to the TV. At some point it asked me to select passcode or password to connect to the TV. I have since forgotten the password. I can screenshare to the TV via my AppleTV device, but the connection selection is tedious via the TV and AppleTV settings. I can also directly screen share from my IPhone to the LG TV (no password request). So, my question: am I correct in thinking that I can directly share to the LG TV from OSX 10.14 Airplay, and if so, how do I get around the password request? I can find nowhere to set or reset a password, and I'm not even sure if its an Apple of LG setting.

I do not get a code prompt from my tv to enter to enable screen mirroring I'm trying to get my Roku Tv to mirror my 2022 Mac screen. Both devices are newly purchased. The Mac gives a prompt to enter a code from the tv. But the tv doesn't give a code. Thanks in advance!

Look on the TV screen for the code. Roku does the same thing; displays an onscreen code.
