The HDMI for my monitor works but the USB-C doesn't work to charge anything, any help? It's brand new, ordered about a month ago. Also new MacBook Air...is it a setting issue?

The USB-C port is an input charge port, so it charges the Mac its connected to if you plug in a charger to it.
It will not power external devices.
