Airpods Pro just show a green light and won't go into pairing mode

Hi,

Here's what happened:

Firstly, I unpaired my Airpods from my iPhone 12 pro Max.

This meants I could then pair my AirPods with my Windows 11 PC.

After realising I cannot pair my Windows 11 PC and my iPhone pro max at the same time I unpaired my Airpods from my PC.

Now:

I am stuck with a constant green light when the airpods are opened but nothing else happens, the pairing button doesn't do anything either.

The Airpods are recognised by my iPhone as 'Not your Airpods Pro', etc. But when I click continue and hold the button nothing happens, the green eventually light fades away.

What I know so far:

The case itself is clean, extremely clean, so this isn't the culprit.

The case and Airpods inside are charged, possibly fully but it's hard to tell.

Bluetooth on my Windows 11 PC has been disabled and my iPhone 11 Pro Max is enabled.

I have reset my network settings on my iPhone.

The Airpods themselves have been working perfectly fine for over a year, perhaps two.

Holding the button down for 30s for a factory reset does nothing.

Any help would be amazing, thank you.

Hi ethan_02,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with your AirPods Pro. We'd like to help you with this.

Sounds like you've done a lot of good steps so far. When checking this resource, we're wondering if you also used the Forget This Device option in step 5 here: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro

You might need to reset your AirPods if they won't charge, or to fix a different issue.

1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Open the lid of your charging case.
4. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods. (If you don't see your AirPods in Settings > Bluetooth, just go to the next step.)
5. Tap Forget This Device, and tap again to confirm.
6. With the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light flashes amber, then white.*

7. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Follow the steps on your device's screen.

AirPods can be associated with one Apple ID. If you want to use AirPods (3rd generation) or AirPods Pro that someone else has used, they first need to remove the AirPods from their Apple ID.

Let us know if that helps.

Take care!
