How to have Apple Home play what's already playing on my phone on airplay (homepods) when I arrive home?

Hi, I'd like it so when I arrive home and the "arrive home" automation happens, that it transfers what is currently already playing on my phone to my home speakers. I see the options to select a song for it to play but is it really not possible to play what you're already listening to?

IOS 16 Airplay Sync Just received my iPhone 14 Pro Max (previous was a 12 Pro Max) with IOS 16. When I airplay to my homepods throughout my house, everything plays and the music is synced up nicely across multiple homepods and homepod mini's. Once I add my appletv (which uses the tv speakers) the apple tv is not in sync with the rest of the homepods and the music has an echo effect. I did not have a chance to test my iPhone 12 with IOS 16 but did not have issues when running IOS 15 when playing music on the appletv and homepods. LML. Thanks.

(Not Apple Music). Doesn't appear the HomePod mini is very useful. I have multiple Amazon Echo's that can talk to my Sanyo TV, Yamaha Stereo, Vera ZWave controller, and Feit WIFI electric light switches etc.... thru 3rd party links. What can the Apple HomePod mini do? (Other than play Apple Music) I can stream music using Airplay feature but this is a very expensive Speaker if that's all it can do.

Can I use an iPhone as AirPlay speaker? Hello, I wonder whether I can use my iPhone as an AirPlay speaker, streaming audio from my Macs. It would be useful to listen to an audio from a file I have on my Mac while I am in a different room, especially with EarPods plugged in. I don't have AirPods, which I understand are the easiest solution. I can stream audio via AirPlay from the iPhone to the Macs (iMac and MacBook Air) but not the other way around. The iPhone does not appear in the list of devices in the Macs' AirPlay menu. Thanks!

I don't know if this is possible to do as an automation. Handoff should work. See Use Handoff to continue tasks on your other devices - Apple Support.
