Switching from individual accounts to a family account without losing data

I have a student account and my siblings have regular accounts, my father just purchased the family account, how do we join to the family account without losing our data?

We tried to cancel one of the regular accounts but it seems like since the month we already paid for isn't over we can't join the family account yet.
