Trying to get all my Windows pictures (thousands) from specific windows folders into a Mac specific album. They all import into pictures not to a album and because there is no view of pictures unassigned to an album it makes it impossible to then assign pictures to an album. Thanks
Alternatively - in the review for import, check the item Keep Folder Organisation. This will create a folder and album for each folder in the file structure you are importing from.

Please use Smart Album to find all photos that are not assigned to any album.
